LGHM includes the hospital, outpatient surgery centers, diagnostic centers, and hospital-sponsored practices. Graduate Medical Education is responsible for all resident education sponsored by this institution. Residency programs sponsored at our facility: - Family Medicine - Internal Medicine - Dermatology - Transitional Year - Sports Medicine (VCOM) - ONMM+1 (VCOM) Our medical training provides: - Working with well-trained, experienced clinical faculty - Interventional cardiology - Interventional radiology - Orthopaedic procedures from common sports injuries to total joint replacements - A hospitalist group that rounds on a variety of patients - Residents and interns are supported by a full range of clinical services, including nurses, phlebotomists, radiology technicians, case managers, social workers, allied health professionals, nutritionists, and pastoral care. - Patients are drawn from suburban and rural areas, so residents and interns are provided with experience in managing and caring for a wide variety of medical problems, ages, and demographic/social backgrounds.
