Established in 1976, Detroit Receiving Hospital Emergency Medicine Residency (part of Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center) is one of the oldest and established training program of emergency medicine physicians nationwide. Our residents gain unparalleled exposure by training at an urban level 1 trauma center with >100k annual ED visits as well as at one of the busiest pediatric hospitals in the nation- Children's Hospital of Michigan. Today, the program boasts one of the largest and most expansive alumni network in emergency medicine, with physicians in leadership positions across the nation in every practice setting.
