Founded by Community Action Agency in 1991, the Center for Healthy Beginnings was a prenatal clinic. Today, it has morphed into the Center for Family Health, providing primary health-care services, including prenatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric, behavioral health and dental care. The Center is one of 1,400 community health centers across the nation; they account for 8,000 sites and serve more than 25 million patients. The Center for Family Health is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) located in downtown Jackson, Michigan. Our mission is “Opening the Door to Health Care for All”, which means we turn no patient away based on his or her ability to pay. We provide top-notch primary care services, including Family Medicine and Pediatrics. In addition, we provide Dental, Behavioral Health, and supportive services including Pharmacy, Case Management, Nutrition Counseling, Transportation, Interpretation, and Enrollment Services. Our physicians and midlevel providers have extensive training and experience in patient care.
