Children’s Medical Group, P.A. was founded in February, 1948 by Drs. Charles Ward and Jim Hendrick with the original office located on North State Street in Jackson. By 1958, the group had expanded to five pediatricians and moved to Carlisle Street near the Baptist Hospital where it remained until 1999 when it moved to Crane Ridge Drive in Jackson off Lakeland Drive. By that time, CMG also had offices in Clinton and Madison. Currently, CMG has 14 board certified pediatricians who have hospital privileges at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center and Batson Children’s Hospital at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Each physician has a pediatric trained registered nurse working with him/her during office hours to assist with patient care and return phone calls for appointments and/or patient information. CMG is committed to offering comprehensive pediatric care from birth to age 18 years through regular check-ups and same day sick appointments.
