GHVI is proud to deliver advanced cardiovascular care to our communities throughout Pennsylvania. From preventive and maintenance care to keep you well, to advanced heart surgery, we have a treatment option that’s right for you. Unmatched expertise: Our team consists of skilled surgeons, cardiologists and vascular specialists, many of whom hold additional training beyond what's required. We’re also a national leader in researching the genetic factors linked to aortic aneurysms and heart disease. World-class care, close to home: With locations throughout central and northeastern Pennsylvania, you don’t have to travel far to find leading-edge cardiovascular treatment options and tailored-to-you care. Comprehensive surgical capabilities: From complex to minimally invasive procedures, such as our innovative TAVR procedure for aortic valve replacement, we offer innovative treatment options with smaller incisions and shorter recovery times. We have experts in carotid stenting, complex aneurysm surgery and pediatric cardiac surgery. Plus, our complex cardiac surgery is now done with faster recovery in safer settings. Genetic testing and counseling programs: Special research programs, such as MyCode, are only available at Geisinger. Participating in MyCode allows you to contribute to genetic research and develop a care plan tailored to you. By participating, you can receive information about your genetic risks. High-tech endovascular suites: Our state-of-the-art operating suites include the imaging capabilities of a catheterization lab. This allows our vascular surgeons to perform procedures that require both vascular surgery and image-guided techniques simultaneously. So not only can you have multiple procedures done simultaneously, but you’ll only have to undergo anesthesia and recover once. Many of our facilities have been accredited by the American Heart Association for exceptional heart attack care and have been named primary and comprehensive stroke centers.
