Since 1964, Nagoya International School (NIS) has grown from a small community initiative into a leading international school in Japan’s Chubu region. Today, we serve students aged 3 to 18 from over 35 countries, united by a shared commitment to learning, belonging, and making a difference. As a fully accredited IB World School (PYP, MYP, and DP) recognized by CIS and WASC, NIS offers a rigorous, inquiry-driven education that empowers students to think critically and creatively, embrace lifelong learning, and contribute meaningfully to the world around them. Inclusive by design, NIS celebrates the diversity of language, culture, identity, and ability in our student body.
